Taste of Texas
is back!
Our annual community celebration will be held Saturday, October
3rd through Sunday, October 4th in conjunction with the Texas
Township Fire Department Fire Prevention Open House. The event
will be located at the intersection of Q Avenue and 8th Street
in both of the local shopping center parking lots. It is open
to the public and will feature tasty food, activities for
kids of all ages, live music, and plenty of fun!
Last year’s festival drew over 5,000 attendees. We expect
2009 to be an even greater success! Profits from this exciting
event will be donated to local youth camps in Texas Township.
Activities include bouncers in the Children’s Area,
a magic show featuring Alan Smole, a car show, massages, a
drunk driving simulator, mascots, poker and cash games, martial
arts and dance demonstrations, and so much more! Local food
vendors will include: Asiago’s, Main St. Grille, Fletcher’s
Pub, Hunan Gardens, and others.
Parking will be available at area parks and
other designated locations. Participants and attendees are
asked not to park at other local businesses so that their
customers may still reach them easily.
Taste of Texas offers an excellent opportunity
